Site Wehkamp
At Wehkamp, we are always striving to deliver the best possible user experience in our native Android & iOS apps. To achieve this goal, we recognize the importance of high-quality code quality. But how can we retain and force this high code quality?
We know that there are many different ways to test an app, and we want to explore all of our options. Some of the techniques we’ve tried in the past include unit tests together with some UI tests. However, testing can be time-consuming and challenging. Thus we are looking for better ways to test our app, perhaps even new ones.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to help us identify and implement the best testing strategies for our iOS app. You will work together with our team to research different testing methodologies and tools; that help reach the goal. This goes hand in hand with a true implementation or proof-of-concept.
The task at hand
As an intern, you will work on developing and implementing a testing strategy that ensures our app is running at its best. You will explore the possibilities of using different testing techniques, including Unit, UI, and integration tests. By developing and implementing these tests, we hope it will help us identify recurring issues and prevent them from happening again.
Your work will have a significant impact on our business. Effective testing can reduce maintenance costs and minimize the need for new tests. This, in turn, will enable us to focus on building new features and improving the user experience.
We are looking for someone who can think critically about the current state of our app and determine whether it can be tested well enough. If there are areas for improvement, you will need to devise a plan for getting to a point where the app can be tested thoroughly. If the app is already in good shape, you will need to explain why and determine whether our current level of testing is sufficient.
If you are passionate about testing, detail-oriented, and looking for an internship that will challenge and inspire you, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and join our team at Wehkamp.
